My name is Jane Bookbinder Rosenberg. I was born on 8-11-54. I want to reconnect with my mother's family. I am the only daughter of Benjamin Bookbinder and Gertrude Cohen Bookbinder. My mother, Gertrude, passed away in 1967. My mother had one sister, Mae Cohen, and their parents were Nathan Cohen and Goldie Schreiber Cohen, all deceased. My mother grew up in Binghamton, NY and I grew up in Ocean Township, NJ. My grandparents, Nathan and Goldie lived in Binghamton, NY before they moved to Neptune, NJ (1216 4th Ave.) in 1952. My grandmother, Goldie, had one brother, Martin Schreiber of Binghamton, NY, and one sister, Matilda Schreiber Rotenberg. Matilda Rotenberg lived in Flushing, NY at the time of my grandmother's death in 1961. Matilda had younger relatives consisting of a couple (husband and wife -- probably her son or daughter). This couple had a daughter, Vivian, who is probably 3-5 years older than I am, so she would have been born between 1949-1951. If you have any information, please contact me at: |
