A heartwarming picture book biography of a man who was a doctor, writer, and advocate for children's rights in pre-World War II Poland. He designed an orphanage for Jewish children in Warsaw and was eventually forced to move the orphanage into the Warsaw Ghetto after Hitler's rise to power. Fully committed to giving his children as much love and support as possible during such a terrifying time, he refused to abandon them, ultimately perishing with them in Treblinka.
