When the first train leaves from Jaffa to Jerusalem Engineer Ari has been chosen to drive. Boasting to his fellow engineers, he drives away without saying good-bye. As he travels up and down the hills wishing Happy New Year to the townspeople, he realizes that bragging was hurtful to his fellow engineers. The New Year is time for an apology and promise to do better.
